WindSpot UK v0.4 — Attribution and Data Reuse Terms

Merged Global Wind Turbine Dataset by ventodyne (World Wind Turbine Map, turbinemap.ventodyne.com). Data sourced from:

The actual wind turbines imported into WindSpot from the ventodyne visible-map
export are 10,952 UK onshore OpenStreetMap records. Records were filtered by
approximate UK land boundary and status, deduplicated against existing pilot
coordinates, remapped to the WindSpot schema, and powers converted kW -> MW.
The data is provided under the ODbL 1.0 with its attribution and share-alike
obligations, which apply to public uses of the adapted database.
The combined UK dataset is available for download as /turbines.json.

BOUNDARY / GEO PROCESSING
Land filtering used the GSHHS shoreline and WDBII international-boundary
segments distributed with Matplotlib Basemap (intermediate resolution).
This is an approximate spatial classification, not an authoritative national
land registry or certified turbine register. The source export is a cropped
map viewport that excludes significant parts of northern Scotland.

DATA QUALITY
This data is not independently field-verified. Positions, recorded operating
status, technical attributes and source map names can be inaccurate, missing
or outdated. It must not be used for aviation, navigation, regulatory,
safety, contractual, financial, investment or operational decisions.
The OSM source record ID is NOT an official turbine number. WindSpot does
not infer manufacturer, model, rated MW, project, owner or developer.

APPLICATION CODE
WindSpot's original application code and UI are separate from the licensed
turbine data. Do not copy ventodyne's website branding or source code.
